Keith Bradford

President, Olympia Development
& The District Detroit

Keith Bradford is President of Olympia Development & The District Detroit, and has held the position since June 2022.

In his current role, he is responsible for all development strategy including real estate planning, retail, residential and office development. Bradford also leads master planning, leasing, design, and project management activities for all real estate ventures in The District Detroit. He is also responsible for the operations of facilities such as Comerica Park, the award-winning Little Caesars Arena, the historic Fox Theatre and numerous office buildings and retail spaces.

Bradford has responsibility for leading the development and operations of The District Detroit, a dynamic urban destination in the heart of Detroit that includes something for everyone and a variety of developments alongside Detroit’s premier sports and entertainment venues. The District Detroit is connecting downtown Detroit to growing nearby neighborhoods such as Midtown, Corktown and Brush Park. The District Detroit is having a dramatic economic impact on Detroit and is a driving catalyst of the city’s remarkable resurgence and will contribute to Detroit’s amazing comeback for years to come.

Most recently, Bradford was responsible for operations and the redevelopment of “Downtown Disney” to “Disney Springs.” The unique and highly successful retail, dining and entertainment destination now features more than 150 venues, including over 30 restaurants.

In addition to Bradford’s responsibilities at Disney Springs, he held numerous senior-level roles in resort operations and development over his 23-year career with Disney.

Originally from Mississippi, Bradford graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of Mississippi. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and attending any and all Ole Miss sporting events. Keith and his wife, Cam, live in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and have three adult children.

Rian English-Barnhill

Vice President of Government and Community Affairs

Rian serves as Vice President of Government and Community Affairs for Olympia Development, the premier real-estate development firm in Michigan. Her primary responsibilities include creating and implementing strategies, policies, and procedures to support core business objectives, including, stakeholder buy-in, and municipal and state-level approvals. Before this role, Rian served as Executive Director of Development for a K-12 school district. She also served as the Managing Editor of the Michigan Chronicle, a historic newspaper devoted to documenting the African American experience. Rian lives in Detroit, MI, with her husband Bryan and two children, Britton and Riley.

Stefan Stration

Vice President of Development

As Vice President of Development, Mr. Stration is responsible for the planning, organizing, developing, and executing of strategic plans for real estate development in The District Detroit.

With more than 25 years as an executive, co-founder and principal in private equity real estate groups and related operating businesses, Mr. Stration is a dynamic commercial real estate executive with a proven history of success driving the strategy, profitability and performance of diversified real estate developments, portfolios, asset classes and operating businesses. He has extensive experience across all major property types in directing project development, joint-ventures, acquisition, programming design, capital funding, sales/marketing, and leasing.

Mr. Stration has been actively involved in numerous associations, memberships and boards including the Michigan Senior Olympics, Rails-to Trails Conservancy, Urban Land Institute, Meals-on-Wheels, and The Detroit Economic Club. He holds real estate broker’s license in Michigan and Georgia, is an Accredited Professional with the International WELL Building Institute and an accredited Ambassador for Fitwel.

Leo Mendez

Vice President Design

Leo Mendez is Vice President, Design, for Olympia Development of Michigan. He is responsible for the creation and development of design concepts and design direction leading the architectural design teams through all phases of various projects in The District Detroit. The urban destination is bringing exciting retail, office, residential and entertainment concepts to the city of Detroit while linking Midtown to the Central Business District and other surrounding neighborhoods.

The veteran brings more than 20 years of global design experience in development, commercial real estate, retail, and high-density mixed-used centers to the Ilitch organization. His previous roles, based in Detroit, Phoenix and Chicago; led him to work with major retail developers and partners such as The Taubman Company, The Forbes Company, Simon Properties, and Brookfield Properties. His experiences range from creating strategic multi-phased master plans to leading design on redevelopment opportunities of world-class mixed-use projects throughout the United States and abroad. His portfolio includes numerous Detroit-based projects, such as the concept design of the new Huntington Bank headquarters, mixed-use master planning in Corktown and the renovation to historic Motown Museum.

Prior to joining Olympia Development of Michigan, he served as Director of Design at Neumann/Smith Architects in Detroit, where he served clients such as DTE, Taubman and the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy. Previous design leadership roles include the Taubman Company and Cannon Design.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture/Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, American Institute of Architects, International Council of Shopping Centers, and is a licensed architect in Michigan and Arizona.

Zarah Karapetyan-Broglin

Vice President of Construction

With More than 20 years of Construction Project Management experience, Mrs. Broglin joined Olympia Development of Michigan in 2019 as a Vice President of Construction. She oversees the construction of new developments, and the revitalization of historic buildings within The District Detroit.

Prior to joining Olympia Development of Michigan, Mrs. Broglin worked for nationally recognized Construction and Real Estate Development firms. During her career she has successfully overseen operational execution of over $1 billion of construction projects including mid-rise urban, healthcare, higher education, multifamily, athletic, automotive, and numerous tenant improvement projects in both new construction and historic renovation.

Originally from Yerevan, Armenia, Mrs. Broglin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Armenian Polytechnic Institute. She moved to United States in 1999 to further her education and received her master’s degree from Penn State University. Mrs. Broglin is multilingual and speaks three languages fluently: Armenian, Russian, and English. In her free time, she enjoys attending her children’s sporting events. Zarah and her husband, Aaron, live in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and have three children.

John Valentine

Vice President, General Counsel

John M. Valentine is Vice President and General Counsel at Olympia Development of Michigan, and has held the position since June 2018.

While at Olympia Development, Valentine has led the legal aspects of the company’s development of new projects in The District Detroit and in Detroit’s suburbs, several significant historical renovations within the District Detroit, and office and retail leasing efforts for new and existing assets.

Prior to joining Olympia Development, Valentine advised clients in all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions throughout the United States, with an emphasis on representing institutional capital sources and family offices in connection with acquisitions and dispositions of real property, financings (both traditional and alternative), asset management, leasing, development, and joint ventures.

His experience includes a broad range of real estate types, including mixed - use entertainment and retail projects, sports facilities, office properties, multi - family residential complexes (both market rate and low - income), warehouse/industrial buildings, golf courses, data centers, and senior housing facilities. He has represented buyers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of commercial property, counseled borrowers, and lenders in connection with the financing of real property, advised owners and operators in connection with development, management and leasing of urban and suburban properties, and represented capital sources in the formation and documentation of real estate joint ventures.

Mr. Valentine is a Michigan native and graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, in political science, and from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law with a juris doctorate degree, magna cum laude.

Randy Lippe

Senior Executive

As Senior Executive, Mr Lippe leads a property management team responsible for the financial, operational and tenant satisfaction of ODM’s Class A real estate portfolio currently consisting of over 1 million square feet of office, retail, residential and outdoor assets located throughout the District Detroit.

Lippe is a pure Detroiter who was born and raised in the City of Detroit. Lippe has been with the Ilitch of companies for over 47 years, first working as a Little Caesars hourly employee at a carry out located on 7 Mile Road in Detroit.

Lippe has served multiple executive roles throughout the years including but not limited Sr Vice President and General Manager of the Joe Louis Arena. Lippe has a strong background in building operations and construction projects and has had leadership roles in the programming, design and construction of Tiger Plaza at the old Tiger Stadium, construction renovation and operation of the Fox Theatre, design, construction and operation of Comerica Park and benchmarking, programming, design and construction of the award- winning Little Caesars Arena.

Lippe resides in metro Detroit with his wife, Patricia. They have two children, Amanda and Bob. In his spare time, Lippe enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mike Hartnett

Vice President of Venue Security

Mike Hartnett has been Vice President of Venue Security since 2018. He has more than 20 years of security operations experience and joined the company from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) where he was a Unit Chief in the Crisis Management Unit.

Focused on creating a safe and secure environment across all venues, Mike is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all safety and security strategies, programs, and procedures. Harnett also leads the daily security operations and event-based security throughout The District Detroit.

While at the FBI, Hartnett managed the elite FBI Crisis Management Unit (CMU) responsible for overseeing the FBI’s National Crisis and Emergency Response Operations, Command Post Operations, Special Event Security Planning and all Crisis Response training. He also provided strategic management, operational security planning and logistical support to high profile domestic and international special events. Hartnett also served multiple stints as a Supervisory Special Agent and was a Unit Chief in the FBI’s Terrorist Financing Operations Unit.

Mike received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of New Hampshire, and his Juris Doctor from the Boston College Law School.

Mark Harris

Vice President of Parking Operations

Mike Harris is Vice President of Parking Operations for The District Detroit reporting to Keith Bradford. In this role, Harris will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategic goals and objectives which will enhance and improve the parking programs in support of Olympia Development of Michigan’s mission including large scale projects and planning. He is responsible for the administration, management and coordination of all parking operations within The District Detroit.

Most recently, Harris served as Director of Parking for Brandywine Realty Trust where he led an initiative to bring all parking operations for Brandywine Realty Trust in-house, oversaw the development and implementation of a fully robotic parking garage and completed a comprehensive renovation project for all of Brandywine’s existing parking facilities. Prior to Brandywine Realty Trust, Harris owned a parking equipment distribution company and held the position of Market Officer for InterPark Holdings, one of the largest parking asset owners in North America.

Harris earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Economics from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA
